Launched in the UK in early 2024, CQuel was created by Hines Global Ventures, the venture arm of leading real estate company Hines. Our founding mission was to solve the existential challenge facing Hines and other commercial real estate owners and operators: how to accelerate the journey towards greener, more profitable buildings.

We soon realised that the problem isn't the lack of good decarbonisation plans. The challenge is to bring them to life in an efficient, de-risked and cost-effective way.

Our team has decades of experience in creating international marketplaces, B2B software and building decarbonisation.

We are now delivering more than 400 projects across various asset types and technologies in the UK and Germany, with plans to enter further markets later in 2026.
